This solicitation is to secure a complete set of services to accomplish stand treatments related to the reduction of standing and down fuel loadings as a result of wildland forest fires. Work will be located on the Six Rivers National Forest, Humboldt and Trinity Counties, California. The resultant contract will also provide road maintenance and erosion control activities associated with product treatment and removal necessary to assure soil and water resource protection. Contract will include fuel reduction, logging and site preparation. Successful contractor shall be given sets of resource objectives for an area, develop a plan to accomplish the objectives, and organize and direct all equipment and personnel needed to accomplish the work. Elements of work include yarding, slashing, handline construction, machine fire line construction and machine piling. Contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals necessary to complete the work required. Proposers will be required to submit a technical as well as a price proposal.
