NIST Contracts Office, Contract@nist.gov. The National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to enter into a sole source
purchase order with Mr. Rick King of Raleigh, North Carolina. This
requirement involves the development of a training and support program
for the Advanced Technology Program (ATP). Specifically, this project
is founded upon the prior workshops developed by the prospective
contractor. Mr. King is uniquely qualified to perform this project
given his prior experience with ATP in both performing these workshops
and developing a format and structure for these workshops. Mr. King's
extensive experience in the venture capital community and how firms
should present themselves to the community in order to maximize their
opportunities for obtaining private sector funding is critical in the
development of the anticipated workshops. The Government anticipates
the award of a firm-fixed priced purchase order. The required period of
performance is from the effective date of purchase order through one
(1) year thereafter (FOBDestination -- Gaithersburg, MD). The proposed
requirement is for supplies or services for which the Government
intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority
of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and
capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This
notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However,
all quotations received by July 24, 2000 will be considered by the
government. A determination by the Government not to compete this
proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely
within the discretion of the government. Information received will
normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to
conduct a competitive procurement. A Request for Quotation (RFQ)
package is not available.. Posted 07/18/00 (W-SN475882). (0200) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0119 20000720\U-0015.SOL)
