consists of constructing one new building using structural steel
framing, with masonry walls, standing seam metal roofing, various
interior finishes, construction of all necessary electrical lighting
and power, complete communications system, installation of complete
fire detection and alarm systems and installation of complete heating,
ventilation and air-conditioning systems. The building consists of
several large garage bays, administrative space located on two floors
and a control tower that sits 5 stories above the main floor. The total
size of the structure is approximately 13,000 square feet. The existing
building site requires some clearing of trees and shrubs as well as
some earthwork. Project includes the drilling of a domestic water well,
construction of a septic system, extension of electric lines, extension
of communications lines, installation of propane tanks, the
construction of new asphalt parking areas and the construction of
approximately mile of graveled road. A firm fixed price contract award
is anticipated. The contractor will provide all plant, labor,
materials and supervision necessary to accomplish the above-described
work. All work is located on what is known as Range 40 of the Grayling
Military Reservation, Grayling, Michigan. Estimated construction
magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Payment and Performance
protection will be required. SIC 1542. Work must be complete 300 days
after contractor's receipt of Notice To Proceed (NTP). Anticipate NTP
issuance on or about October 18, 2000. This procurement may be
considered for HUBZone set-aside (Crawford County, Michigan). If you
are a HUBZone certified contractor, please note that on your response.
All requests must be in writing and may be submitted via fax (FAX
number 517-483-5900)or e-mail. Solicitation documents and plans and
specifications will be available on the Internet on or about August 3,
2000. The web address is not currently available but will be provided
to you with your response to this notice. Contractors must be
registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in order to
receive an award. All payments under the resultant contract will be
