The work includes, but is not limited to, demolishing an existing caisson, and constructing a concrete sheet pile seawall, erosion protection and timber dolphin piles. Other demolition includes removing submerged collapsed concrete sheet piles with concrete cap, and a temporary wooden wall. Existing caisson consists of concrete sheet piles, gravel fill and concrete cap. The new seawall is supported by precast concrete battered piles. Underwater erosion protection consists of concrete filled fabric forms. Work includes a base bid item, a unit bit item, and four additive bid items. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification No. 08-L9003 and Drawing No. 08-L9003 (Sheets 1 16). All work shall be completed within 270 calendar days after award.
