BRIDGE, CONTRACT 1, GREEN BROOK FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT SOL DACW51-00-B-0024 DUE 090500 POC Anne Spiegelberg (212)264-9003 The project consists of the construction of the temporary bridge and approach roads, demolition of the existing bridge, construction of the new bridge and approaches and the demolition of a building on the South side of East Main Street within the Borough of Bound Brook. Included within the contract is the removal of the temporary bridge, roadway and area restoration. The construction contract would consist of the following: (a) Construction of the temporary bridge, approach roads and Phase I of the Piscataway sanitary sewer relocation. (b) Demolition of existing bridge from the east abutment to the west abutment. However, a 12 foot lane would need to be maintained on the Bound Brook side of the bridge for access to the southwest corner property. (c) Construction of the new east abutment, Phase II of the Piscataway sanitary sewer relocation and construction of the new center pier. The option to the basic contract will consist of the following: (a) Complete bridge (west abutment) and building demolition. (b) Complete construction of the new bridge and approaches. (C) Removal of the temporary bridge, roadway and area restoration. The estimated cost range for this project is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. Completion time is 638 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The SIC CODE for this project is 1629/ Solicitation documents will be available on or about 03 August 2000.
