Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Coating floors of Animal Holding Facilities at the National Animal Disease Center (NADC), Ames, IA. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work to prepare floors and floor curbs for coating and coat with an epoxy topping. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the applicable portions of the Specifications and Drawings. The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The bid schedule will be issued for Base Bid and Option Nos. 1 and 2. The Base Bid period of performance will be 60 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) (NTP estimated to be issued in October 2000). Option No. 1 (An additional six Animal Holding Facilities in Building 4A) may be exercised 30 days after funds become available and performance will begin 21 Calendar days after a 45 day waiting period from the completion of the base bid, Option 2 (An Additional Five Animal Holding Facilities in Building 4G) may be exercised 30 days after funds become available and performance will begin 21 Calendar days after a 45 day waiting period from the completion of Option No. 1. A Bid Bond as well as Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The solicitation will be issued as Request for Proposal No. 5114-0-3145 and will be available on or about July 30, 2000, with proposals to be received not later than the Close of Business (2:00 p.m (CST)), August 30, 2000. The solicitation is issued pursuant to full and open competition and is unrestricted. Standard Industrial Classification Code of 1711, with a corresponding size standard of $7.0M.
