This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to purchase the items on a SOLE SOURCE basis from Precision Filters, Inc., Ithaca, NY 14850 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). This equipment is being procured to increase the current capabilities of existing Precision Filters, Inc. manufactured filter amplifier equipment at the NASA GRC. The connectivity of the purchased equipment with the existing equipment is based on a proprietary to Precision Filters communications command set using the IEEE interface. Only Precision filters has the detailed design and equipment specifications required. The items to be acquired are: Item 1 -- Filter Card, PFI Model No. 6624-K-TD6-5ACG, qty. 12 ea.; Item 2 -- Filter Rack, PFI Model No. MF64-00-1, qty. 1 ea.; Item 3 -- Controller Card, PFI Model No. 6000A-C-1-CM, qty. 1 ea. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-18. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3825 and 500 employees, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. Delivery to the NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, OH 44135 is required within 60 calendar days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The quotation for the items(s) described above are due by 3:00 pm, local time, July 21, 2000 and may be mailed or faxed to Michelle Mader, NASA Glenn Research Center, Mail Stop 500-305, Cleeland, OH 44135, FAX No. 216-433-2480 and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative.
