MAINTENANCE PLATFORMS This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for
commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6,
as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A quotation is
being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number F38610-00-T0029 is hereby issued as a Request for
Quotation. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and
clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18.
This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-aside and HUB Zone
Set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification is 3531, with a small
business size standard of 750 employees. ITEM DESCRIPTION: Disassemble
C141B Isochronal Maintenance Work Platforms. The platforms consist of
seven major assemblies; nose, left and right forward fuselage
platforms, right and left wing/engine platforms, right and left
fuselage platforms, right empennage and left empennage stands. Each
wing and engine work platform consists of 18 individual interlocking
work stands. The stands are comprised of a steel material with mesh
flooring also of steel. There are electrical wires and an air system
that will need to be disconnected from each individual platform. The
platforms need to be disassembled to the dimensions of not more than 8_
6_ wide by 45_long. Each platform will be stacked and banned for
turn-in. Services are to be performed at Charleston Air Force Base,
South Carolina 29404-5021. Registration in Central Contractor
Registration (CCR) is required (DFARS 252.2047004). Registration may be

227-2423. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and are
to remain in full force; FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offerors-Commercial Items (Mar 2000), FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions-Commercial Items (May 1999) and FAR 52.212-5, Contract
Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutesor Executive
Order_Commercial Items (Jul 2000) (Deviation). Offerors shall include
a completed copy of the provision FAR 52.212-3, Offer Representations
and Certifications-Commercial Items (Feb 2000) with quote. Provisions
and clauses may be viewed and/or downloaded from
http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. Quotations are due 21 JULY 2000. Quotes
should include company name, address, point of contact and title, phone
number, fax number, e-mail address, description of items, price,
payment terms and delivery date. No telephonic responses will be
processed. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be issued in writing.
