DISASSEMBLE C-141 ISOCHRONAL MAINTENANCE PLATFORMS This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F38610-00-T0029 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-aside and HUB Zone Set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification is 3531, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. ITEM DESCRIPTION: Disassemble C141B Isochronal Maintenance Work Platforms. The platforms consist of seven major assemblies; nose, left and right forward fuselage platforms, right and left wing/engine platforms, right and left fuselage platforms, right empennage and left empennage stands. Each wing and engine work platform consists of 18 individual interlocking work stands. The stands are comprised of a steel material with mesh flooring also of steel. There are electrical wires and an air system that will need to be disconnected from each individual platform. The platforms need to be disassembled to the dimensions of not more than 8_ 6_ wide by 45_long. Each platform will be stacked and banned for turn-in. Services are to be performed at Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina 29404-5021. Registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is required (DFARS 252.2047004).
