Military Family Housing Management at NTC Great Lakes is the subject of an A-76 Cost Comparison Study. The intent of the program is to determine the most efficient and effective method of providing service. The study will determine whether commercial activities should be performed under contract or in-house with government personnel. If Government performance is determined to be more economical, this solicitation will be canceled and no contract will be awarded. The contractor shall manage, operate, and inspect the family housing units and associated systems at the NTC Great Lakes Housing Complex including remote sites. These services include Maintenance and Inspection, Collection, Operation of a Service Call Desk, Assignment Services, Referral Services, Management of equipment and materials for Self-Help Services, Planning and Programming Services, and Engineering Services and support. Unrestricted, full and open competition will be utilized to procure a fixed price contract with a base period of performance commencing on 01 October 2001and ending on 30 September 2002. Four fiscal year options will be included. It is anticipated that a pre-proposal conference and site visit will be conducted prior to solicitation closing. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code for this acquisition is 8744 and the size standard is $5M. Numbered Note 26 applies.
