for the following federal highways construction sites at Badlands
National Park: excavation and construction of 8 acre sewage lagoon,
construction of Earthen buttress to stablize the Cedar Pass Slide, Road
widening and installation of utility lines for the new support
buildings at the northeast entrance, excavation and installation of a
road drainage system at Dillon Pass, installation of service road at
Hamm's Draw for the purpose of replacing road culvert, Excavation of
significant fossil deposits under 1 cubic meter using standard
paleontological techniques, Prepration and curation of all collected
paleontological specimens. Storage of paleontological specimens in a
museum storage facility approved by the NPS. Monitoring will begin on
or about September 15, 2000 and the total project will be completed by
