R -- HOUSING, MAINTENANCE AND BREEDING OF RABBITS SOL NIH-NIAID-DIR-00-62 DUE 101000 POC Barbara Welsh, Contract Specialist (301) 496-3878/Karin Eddy, Contracting Office (301) 496-3879 The Molecular and Cellular Immunogenetics Section of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is requesting proposals from Small Businesses under standard industrial classification code number 8731 having the capabilities and facilities to maintain a rabbit holding and breeding facility of approximately 40 SPF New Zealand white rabbits. Care of the rabbits will be in accordance with current animal welfare regulations and policies. Any offeror must have the capability to perform a variety of technical procedures and delivery of animals and specimens between the facility and NIH. The facility must operate at a BS-2 level, and maintain animals in a specific pathogen free condition. This is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. RFP NIAID-DIR-00-62 WILL BE AVAILABLE on or about 09/10/00. Responses are due by 10/10/00. It is anticipated that one cost-plus fixed fee, completion contract will be awarded for a period of five (5) years.
