The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspections Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Services Laboratory, (NVSL), Center for Veterinary Biologics Laboratory in Ames, Iowa, intends to acquire laundry services. The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all equipment, labor, transportation, supplies, etc. necessary to perform laundry services at the National Veterinary Services Laboratory located in Ames, Iowa. Services to begin October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001, with the intent to extend for an additional 4 years. An estimated 18,000 pounds of laundry will be pound goods, dry fold; an estimated 11,000 pounds of laundry will be flat iron goods. Deliveries and pickup will be Monday, Wednesday and Fridays as specified. Payment will be made in arrears. This procurement is set aside 100% for a small business. Contract period is for 1 year with the option to purchase an additional 50 Liters. This is an indefinite quantity, definite delivery contract. Solicitation to be released on or about August 14, 2000.
