The work will consist of the following approximate quantities: All work necessary to correct the actively eroding stability located on the upstream slope of Cherry Creek Dam. The eroding berm will be regraded to a 1V on 3H slope. A layered riprap slope protection will be placed on the regraded slope along the enitre length of approximately 1,000 feet. The riprap slope protection will consist of approximately 4700 tons of riprap, 1700 tons of spalls, 850 tons of bedding material. An access road will be constructed comprising of 350 tons of crushed rock material for surfacing. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. Solicitations will be issued o/a 03 August 2000. Bids will be opened o/a 05 September 2000. This solicitation is unrestricted and open to both large and small business participation.
