(NAVAIR) intends to extend Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA)
N00019-99-G-0027 for a period of 1 October 2000 through 30 September
2001. The delivery orders will provide engineering studies, equipment
and computer program modifications, repair of government-owned
equipment, repair of parts and assemblies, development of engineering
products and their modifications, and other related services for the
Harpoon missile, the Standoff Land Attack Missile (SLAM), and the
Standoff Land Attack Missile Extended Response (SLAM ER) weapon systems
for both the U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
NAVAIR intends to award this effort to McDonnell Douglas Corporation,
a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company (Boeing), P.O. Box 516,
St. Louis, MO 63166-0516. Boeing is the sole developer, designer, and
manufacturer of the Harpoon/SLAM/SLAM ER weapon systems and the only
known firm with the necessary knowledge, data equipment, facilities,
and experience to perform this effortwithin the required time frame.
