61 -- UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY SOL DAAB15-00-Q-0013 DUE 083000 POC Christopher Blumberg (703) 325-3305 E-MAIL: Christopher Blumberg, Contract Specialist, cblumb@hoffman-issaa2.army.mil. The US Army CECOM has a requirement for twelve (12) each Uniterruptible Power Supply (UPS), with a nominal 1000 VA power rating, to support the Alarm Monitor Group (AMG) Physical Security (Burglar Alarm) Program. The UPS will be fielded in Europe, Korea, Japan, and the United States at various Military Installations. It is required that the UPS be capable of working from 100 to 240 volt single phase 50/60 Hz AC input power while providing 120 volt 60 Hz AC output power. The UPS Battery capacity shall be sufficient to power the AMG equipment (1/2 Amp maximum power required) including a single IBM PC/AT compatible computer (286 processor based minimum) with a 14 inch color monitor minimum and a dot matrix tractor feed printer for a minimum of four hours. The UPS shall be configured in a single metal cabinet mounted on casters, which includes sufficient space and provisions for housing the batteries. The UPS shall be provided with the batteries and all battery interconnect cables. Input power shall be connected to the UPS through a barrier strip mounted in a standard electrical junction box. The output shall be provided through a standard 120 Volt 60 Hz duplex receptacle. The UPS shall be provided with an AC Fail Alarm through a DB9 connector. All input/output receptacles/connectors shall be mounted on the back of the UPS. The AC input to the UPS shall be fused and contain an ON/OFF breaker/switch. The UPS output shall be fused and contain an ON/OFF breaker/switch. The UPS shall include sufficient charging capability to recharge its associated batteries, when fully discharged, to 100 per cent of their fully charged capacity within a 24 hours period. The weight and size of the UPS shall be the minimum practical except it can not be larger than the detailed requirement below. The UPS shall include a one-year unconditional warranty. Delivery will be to Fort Belvoir, VA. a. UPS Input Requirements: Rectifier section. (1). Input voltage: 100-240 Vac, single phase. (2). Input frequency: 47-63 Hz.(3). Protection: Circuit Breaker. b. UPS Output Requirements: Inverter Section. (1). Output voltage: 120 Vac. (2). Output frequency: 60 Hz +/- 0.03 Hz. (3). VA Rating: 800-1200 VA. (4). Waveform: True Regulated Sine Wave. (5). Estimated Load: 750 VA @ .8 pf: 600 Watts. c. Battery: (1). Backup Time: 4 hour battery backup at full load. (2). Type: Sealed cell, Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) or gelled electrolyte. d. AC Fail Alarm: Shall interface to a male DB9 connector to indicate AC input status. Provide an output contact to display an open condition across pins 1 & 2 when AC input fails (Operating on Battery) and a closed condition across pins 1 & 2 when operating on AC power. e. Cabinet Requirements: (1). Maximum size: 24 "w x 26"d x 40"h. (2). Material: Metal. (3). Mounted on casters. Interested parties shall contact Mr. Christopher Blumberg at cblumb@hoffman-issaa2.army.mil for a copy of the RFQ. See Note 1. Posted 07/20/00 (W-SN477093). (0202)
