Osborne, Contracting Officer, (703) 602-8000 Ext. 543 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has a requirement for 200 MK-749 Mod 0 Tri-Pack Containers for the Guided Missile Round Pack (GMRP). This is a competitive procurement, which is restricted to certified HUBZONE small businesses qualifying under the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 3443 with a size standard of 500 employees. The MK-749 Mod 0 Tri-Pack Container is a rectangular mid-opening reusable controlled breathing container of extruded aluminum construction. The container features a humidity indicator, breather valve, observation windows, desiccant basket, and a polyethylene foam dunnage system to protect the payload from shock and vibration. The container's handling provisions consist of side forklift pockets, four hoisting rings, lift arms for low overhead handling with the HLU-216/E Beam, and end-lift fittings which interface with the MK hand-lift. The container is designed to protect a maximum of three Rolling Airframe Missiles during handling, storage, and shipment via truck, railcar, air, and transfer at sea.
