This Request for Quote is for a Firm Fixed-Price Non-Personal Services Requirements Contract. The Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia is seeking a qualified organization to provide legal assistance to female inmates, one day per week (Thursday, excluding Thursday holidays). The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Non-Personal Services Requirements Contract inclusive one base year and the Government's unilateral right to exercise 1, 12 month option. The base year will be from date of award through September 30, 2001. The scheduling will normally consist of 1, sessions per week, for an estimated total of 44 sessions for the base year. This procurement is not set aside for small businesses, (8 (a) included), or labor surplus areas. Legal assistance activities are to consist of interviews conducted by third year law students to individual inmates. Legal assistance may cover a wide range of legal matters. "Legal assistance" may encompass issues such as post-conviction, immigration, family law, wills and trusts, property rights, sentencing and parole, inmate discipline or other correctional issues, and may entail the research of state/federal statues and case law.
