Work includes retrofitting the entire 6-floor building with an approved fire protection sprinkler system. Building 2785 is a Bachelor Officer Quarters structure. Associated work includes demolition of all corridor celings, reconstruction of corridor ceilings with new acoustic lay-in system; selective demolition of gypsum board celings and reconstruction of ceiling, or construction of lowered ceilings and bulkheads with light gauge metal studs and channels sheathed with gypsum wall board; renovation and upgrade of fire alarm system. Incidental work includes painting and wall-covering. Site work includes relocation of one existing fire hydrant. Period of performance is approximately 7 months. Work will be performed 2 floors at a time. SIC is 1542. Magnitude of project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. This acquisition is being solicited under full and open competition.
