This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format described in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP), F19650-00-R-0017. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-12 dated June 17, 1999. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 3448 and the small business size standard is 500. The procurement is for a metal training facility that consists of a four (4) story tower with an annex for live fire training. The tower dimensions are 18 Ft Long, 16 W, 34'H. Burn room dimensions are 14Ft X 16 Ft W & 9'H. The annex and the third floor of the tower should be built with Westemp insulating panels to allow for live fire training. The building needs to contain the following options with the following priority order: 1) Exterior Stairs, 2) Standpipe Connection, 3) Exhaust Fan, 4) Shed Roof Over Annex, 5) Elevator Shaft, 6) four Rappelling Rings Balcony, 7) Sprinkler System and 8) Balcony. Ship in prefab form. Don't add painting.
