The govenment intends to negotiate solely with Vaisala, Incorporated, 100 Commerce Way, Woburn, MA 01801 who holds the proprietary rights to the modulation and demodulation scheme of the radio-frequency carrier which transfers data from the radiosonde to the existing ground stations. The United States Army Acquisition Center has a requirement for a requirements type contract for various quantities of radiosondes to include repair and replacement parts for a base year plus four one-year options. Specific delivery and quantities will be determined via independent delivery orders. Desired delivery is 30 days after receipt of delivery order. All quantities are estimated. Prices will be F.O.B.
