784-4739 Sources Sought -- The Marine Corps Systems Command
(MARCORSYSCOM), is seeking qualifying firms considered as small, small
disadvantaged, or woman-owned small businesses, capable of providing
comprehensive analytical services supporting acquisition and business
strategies. Anticipated services are non-information technology (IT) in
nature, however this does not preclude any qualifying firm from
submitting a capabilities package. The Marine Corps is considering two
tiers of services: Professional engineering and applied analytical
disciplines and general administrative and management support for
program offices. Among the types of services under consideration are:
Risk/cost assessments; business strategy definition and case
development; market analysis and sector expertise; conducting formal
surveys; accomplishing analysis of alternatives and performance trades;
and providing general contracting and acquisition support. More
sophisticated requirements shall potentially include quantified
analysis and applied modeling; simulation development; financial
modeling and forecasting; and scientific research to assess emerging
technical trends. Firms capable of accomplishing the required services,
in whole or in part, are invited to submit an affirmative response to
this notice. Interested firms should possess a demonstrated history
with core business competencies in the requisite disciplines. GSA
schedule holders are encouraged to provide their current capabilities
offerings and pricing. Additionally, MARCORSYSCOM is interested in
broadening their relationships with educational institutions,
particularly Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's).
Academic institutions and firms having formal relationships with
universities and research institutions are strongly encouraged to
provide capabilities statements. Interested firms should respond NLT 7
