R -- COLLEGE DIRECTORY The 42d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole source procurement to Financial Publishing Company, Boston MA, to print and publish affiliated AFROTC schools and scholarship information in their College Scope 2000-2001 National College Directory. AFROTC will provide the contractor with a listing of affiliated AFROTC schools and other scholarship information to include. The publication will list all four-year accredited colleges and universities throughout the United States. It will contain scholarship, fields of study, tuition costs, entrance test requirements and other valuable information needed in selecting a college or university. AFROTC is given the opportunity to make it totally Air Force specific. This includes designing the front and back cover and six inside pages, one of which will be a business card reply. The sole source procurement is IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a single source. This is a notice of intent and not a request for quotation. No solicitation is available. Businesses that recognize and can provide the required service described above must provide supporting evidence. The Government will consider all responses received within ten days of the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. DFAR Clause 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractors Registration, mandates awards only be made to those offerors that are successfully registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
