E-MAIL: Sandy Shin, sshin@usss.treas.gov. The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) intends to issue a solicitation for the acquisition of drycleaning and laundering services for its Uniformed Division. In addition to the drycleaning and laundering, the contractor will also be responsible for picking up the items to be laundered and delivering the cleaned items. The contractor shall service nine USSS facilities distributed through out the Washington, DC area; and one in Laurel, Maryland. This effort is anticipated to be a firm-fixed price requirements contract, with a one year basic period and then two one-year options. The standard industrialization code is 7219 and the small business standard is $5.0 million. The anticipated release date for the solicitation is on or about August 7, 2000. All requests for the solicitation document must be submitted in writing. It must reference the solicitation number and identify the business size. Requests may either be mailed, e-mailed, or faxed to the Contracting Officer.
