The United States Government will be leasing 10 tracts of undeveloped land; all 15 acres, more or less, with the right of ingress and egress for the implementation of the Realistic Bomber Training Initiative (RBTI). The RBTI's ground-based signal generation, scoring and feedback systems require all eight tracts to possess very specific locations, terrain features, and characteristics. The sites are located in the following counties (all in Texas): Pecos (2 tracts), Reeves (1 tract), Scurry (2 tracts), Brewster (2 tracts), Garza (1 tract), Borden (2 tracts). These sites were selected for their location to optimize threat simulation and to provide the best effective training scenario for B-1 and B-52 bomber crews. Each site will be for exclusive use by the U.S. Government and will be enclosed by a 7-feet chain link fence topped with 3 strands of barbed wire.
