Work includes placing approximately 225,000 to 350,000 template cubic yards of material into a six foot dike raising. Some of the material inside the disposal area is soft saturated soils. Borrow material is dewatered dredged material. One concrete weir structure will also be raised six feet and a new catwalk is to be provided. A perimeter underdrain system will also be constructed. Option one will be to install an interior underdrain system. Option two will be to install an underdrain system in Disposal Area 1. Estimated cost range of project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Bidding on this solicitation is restricted to small business concerns, 27.5 million size standard as defined by the Small Business Administration.
