The work will consist of the following approximate quantities: All work necessary to replace approximately 2,500 L.F. of 54-inch concrete pressurized pipe used to carry water from the reservoir to an irrigation system and a fish hatchery. The pipe will be laid roughly parallel to the existing pipe. The existing pipe will be filled with sand and abandoned. Two taps into the existing line will be required, and two lines from the fish hatchery will be disconnected from the existing line and extended 20 feet to connect into the new line. Laying of the line will also involve cutting and replacing an asphalt bike path and an asphalt parking lot entrance. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. Solicitations will be issued o/a 1 August 2000. Bids will be opened o/a 01 September 2000. This solicitation is unrestricted and open to both large and small business participation.
