construction of approximately 2,620 meters of channel to include
rectangular concrete channel; trapezoidal concrete reinforced concrete
channel; reinforced box culverts; channel transition structures; one
(1) lateral confluence, two (2) invert access ramps; side drains;
aggregate base course/asphalt pavement roads; detour roads; relocation
of water and sewer utilities, chain link fence; safety rails and
incidentals. Excavation consists of excavation, compacted fill and
disposal of excess excavated materials to mandatory disposal sites. The
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1629, Heavy
Construction, Except Dredging, N.E.C., $27.5M average annual gross
revenue for the last three (3) fiscal years. The estimated cost range
of this project is over $10,000,000. The project will provide plans and
specs using CD-Rom only; hard copies will not be available. The CD-Rom
will be available on or about August 14, 2000 at no charge. Because a

include a minimum mandatory subcontracting goal of 20% of the potential
contract award amount to small businesses, of which 10% shall be for
Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), 5% for Women Owned, 1.5% goal for
Hub Zone Subcontracting and 5.5% for Historically Black Colleges and
Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI) where applicable, large
businesses will be required to submit a Subcontracting plan. All
subcontracting exceeding the 20% minimum mandatory goal shall have the
Los Angeles District subcontracting goals of 62% with small business,
10% with small disadvantaged business, 5% with woman owned small
business and 1.5% for hub zone subcontracting. All interested
contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be
expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with
small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the provisions of
