This is a Request for Proposal. This electronic announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A hard copy of solicitation will not be issued. A site visit is scheduled for 27 JUL 00 at 10:00_A.M., Summerfield Military Family Housing, 8251 Riggefield Blvd, Landover, Maryland 20685. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, material, tools, transportation, personnel, and supervision to perform all operations necessary to: ITEM 0001 Relocate twelve refuse dumpster (Housing ) sites at: 455 Tayside, 415 Tayside, 312 Tayside, 360 Tayside, 651 Limerick, 650 Limerick, 612 Limerick, 588 Limerick, 8651 Chatsfield, 643 Reading, 662 Romford, and 1012 Catesby. ITEM 0002, Remove trees and restore twelve vacated sites into a black top parking space. ITEM 0003,Provide minor excavation and, poured textured retaining walls to five of the relocated dumper Housings: 455 Tayside, 360 Tayside, 650 Limerick, 612 Limerick, 662 Romford. ITEM 0004, Refurbish fourteen existing fences around sites to include but are not limited to gate adjustments, hardware replacement, and a board on board perimeter six-foot high enclosure with pedestrian access: 8413 Fieldstone, 8312 Fieldstone, 521 Limerick, 585 Reading, 565 Reading, 639 Romford, 868 Warley, 1112 Catesby, 1101 Catesby, 1045 Catesby, 1121 Catesby, 1109 Catesby, 1017 Catesby, 942 Atlee. ITEM 0005, Add one new dumpster site at Warley Drive within Summerfield; this site will not require a concrete pad but must be enclosed and gated to match existing locations. ITEM 0006, Convert five existing locations into black top parking spaces: 8413 Fieldstone, 8412 Fieldstone, 521 Limerick, 585 Reading, 565 Reading. ITEM 0007, Widen five existing locations approximately two feet with matching lumber and hardware: 717 Romford, 755 Romford, 812 Warley, 922 Atlee, 8240 Harrods. Major items of work include but are not limited to: Site preparation and landscaping for each of the twelve new locations and the installation of a four inch wire reinforced concrete and pad approximately 14_X10_. A six foot high board on board perimeter fence with a double gated and hinged (with locking devices) eleven-foot opening for dumping access, and a three-foot wide pedestrian side entrance for access to dumpster side door. Suitable galvanized post will be used along with pressure treated lumber. Performance Period: 90 working days after award. A detailed map of all locations will be given to the successful offeror. The successful offeror shall obtain necessary digging permits. The Contractor will be responsible for site cleanup and removal of all debris as each site is completed. Refuse will be taken to an authorized landfill and not disposed of in any of the refuse dumpsters located in Summerfield.
