The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ intends to acquire under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), Only One Responsible Source, a production effort for the M4 Selectable Lightweight Attack Munitions (SLAMs). This requirement is for a quantity for FY00 of 2,500 each M4's with an option quantity for FY01 of a range of 3,200 to 3,500 each M4's. This effort is expected to be awarded in the 4QFY00 and a projected completion date of the basic contract of 1QFY02 as an add-on to the current contract DAAE30-97-C-1056.
