Leica is the only source that can provide a system with an Absolute Distance Meter (ADM) that allows operator to reacquire laser beam if beam is broken during measurement; resolution of ADM at least 1 micron; system software with ability to "learn" measurement pattern as it is performed and repeat as required; effective range of 35 meters in all directions; angular encoders with resolution of at least .15 arc seconds to allow resolution of .001 inches at 35 meters; and capable of taking measurements within 360-degree envelope around laser unit without repositioning unit.
