A justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is for the following: CLIN 1: SKYsds-2, Two 6U Merlin Multi Computers with 64 MB Memory and 2 MB L2 cache per processor; Force 50G slot one board with UltraSPARC-IIi processor and 64 MB memory, 2D graphics card, 9 GB disk drive, CD Rom drive, 4 slot backplane, SKYvec C/C++ Development kit for Solaris, SKYsol communication library. This procurement is for Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.
