POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE (SIPI) THROUGH THE SOUTHWEST REGIONAL OFFICE,
BRANCH OF ACQUISITION AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT HAS A REQUIREMENT FOR
FOOD SERVICES AT SIPI. The food service is required for approximately
450 students at BIA-Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI)
9169 Coors Road, NW Albuquerque, New Mexico. The contractor shall
provide a complete food service program, consisting of (1) management
and operation of food handling facilities, kitchen, and dining hall;
(2) purchase, receipt, storage, handling, processing, cooking,
packaging, serving and disposal of food at the location; and (3)
maintain the cleanliness of the facility (kitchen, dining section, dish
rooms, etc.), and maintain kitchen equipment, both during and between
meals. Meals will be served cafeteria style, except for sack lunches,
snacks, sick trays and other special meals. The contract will be issued
on an "All or None" basis. Site visits are encouraged and may be
arranged by contacting the Mr. David, Southwestern Indian Polytechnic
Institute, (505) 346-2340. Bid opening is scheduled for September 6,
2000, at 2 p.m. (local time), in Suite 204 at the address shown above.

acquisition, however, Section 7(b) of Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C.
450e) and 48 CFR 1404.7002 require that preference opportunities in
employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan Native Individuals
and preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan
