E-MAIL: Dean Kocian, Dean.Kocian@wpafb.af.mil. Notice of Contract Action 00-04-HE. The R&D Contracting Office, AFRL/MLKH, is contemplating the award of a cost plus fixed fee contract, F33615-00-C-6061 to Boeing, Inc for the Strike Helmet 21 (SH-21) program. This program will use a helmet mounted cueing system integrated into a F-15E to enhance and expand the strike role. The helmet mounted cueing system will allow the user to target multiple targets per pass with on-board and off-board information displayed on the helmet. The focus is to demonstrate and validate a significant improvement in the multi-role fighter performance, survival, and aircrew situational awareness in all environmental conditions. It is intended that this will be a sole source award to Boeing on the basis that they are the only company capable of accomplishing the development/integration of the Strike Helmet 21 F-15 Operational Flight Program (OFP) suite software and assessing its effect on the program's integration of technologies for use on the F-15E. The purpose of this synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. Businesses interested in subcontracting opportunities for this effort, please contact Ms. Gerema Randall at (937) 656-9041 or forward a written response of your interest to AFRL/MLKH, ATTN: Gerema Randall, 2310 8th Street, Wright-Patterson AFB OH 45433-7801. An Ombudsman has been established for the acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from interested parties when they prefer not to use established channels to communicate concerns. Established channels should be used to request information, pose questions and voice concerns before reporting to the Ombudsman, Lt Col Sam A. Lopez, Det 1, AFRL/PK, telephone (937) 255-2358, email: Sam.Lopez@wpafb.af.mil. See Numbered Note: 22. Posted 07/25/00 (D-SN478637). (0207)
