THE RESEARCH CONTRACTS BRANCH (RCB) INTERNET ADDRESS IS : http://rcb.nci.nih.gov/RFP.HTM The Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS), Cancer Surveillance Research Program, National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) is interested in expanding the existing Surveillance Support Master Agreement (MA) Pool with the objective of conducting surveys and similar evaluation processes. The term "survey" is used to connote a full range of studies including probability sample surveys and speciality studies requiring data abstraction. Proposed projects fall under three broad categories; rapid response to emerging issues, evaluation and methods development. Master Agreements will be issued to all respondents whose technical proposal is considered acceptable. The Master Agreement award is non-monetary and is issued exclusively for the purpose of compiling/expanding a pool of contractors who are pre-qualified to perform surveillance support activities. Each MA Holder will be eligible to compete for future contracts (also referred to as Master Agreement Orders (MAO). The current Surveillance Support MA Pool was awarded October 15, 1999 and is effective through October 14, 2004. This CBD notice will serve as the announcement of the annual solicitation. Any MA awarded as a result of this solicitation will be in effect from the date of execution through October 14, 2004. This solicitation will be open for the duration of the existing MA pool and the due date for proposals is October 30 of each year. All responsible sources are encouraged to to submit a proposal and a sample requirement to be considered by the NCI. ALL MASTER AGREEMENT HOLDERS ALREADY IN THE EXISTING POOL NEED NOT RESPOND TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
