AA-K109-00 Noun: CCA Appl: AN/FYQ-122 427 for CMC. Item description
data: 1-2.1.3.18 Synchronous Line Adapter. The programmable synchronous
line adapter (UCOMM) is used for all synchronous and asynchronous
external circuit interfaces. There are from zero to 18 of these K-109
line adapters within each processor rack. Refer to figure 1-3, sheet 3.
In the expansion rack there may be five (A9 slots 8 to 12 in the OR
subsystem) or seven (A9, slots 7-13 in the S&T subsystem). Each adapter
interfaces to either two RS-232C or two RS-423A circuits and is
configured for operation via down-loaded circuit communication software
and parameters. The UCOMM line adapter uses a 10 MHz 16-bit Motorola
68000 microprocessor and has 512 MB of RAM and 15 KB of programmable
read-only memory (PROM). The RAM is used for data buffering while the
PROM provides non-volatile storage for the communication software. A
Zilog serial communications controller (SCC) provides the two
independent circuit communication interfaces. The SCC is fully
programmable with respect to mode (synchronous/asynchronous), data
rate, character size, parity, and character/frame format. The UCOMM
line adapter handles circuit speeds of up to 64 Kbps. The K109 card has
four DB-25 male I/O connectors deisgnated as logical output 0, 1, 2,
and 4. Outputs 0 and 2 are used for the RS-423A output ports and
connectors 1 and 3 are used for the RS-232C output ports. The
approximate issue/response date will be 14 AUG 2000. The anticipated
award date will be 05 Sep 2000. Electronic procedure will be used for
this solicitation. See our Web page. To: Regal Computer Solutions Inc,

concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal
development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is
not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting
officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues,
disagreements, and recommendations tothe appropriate government
