The Social Security Administration, Region VI, seeks physician services to review Social Security Disability Claims. Specialties include internal medicine and speech/language pathology (ph.d. required). There is no patient contact. Services (approximately 8-10 hours per week) are to be performed on-site at the SSA Regional Office in Dallas, Texas during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday (excluding federal holidays). Current licensure in the state of Texas is required. Current training and practice are essential. The initial base period of performance shall be approximately September through December, 2000 with 4 one-year option periods. Request for Quote #SSA6-00-03 is scheduled for release on or about August 10, 2000 with offers due approximately 21 days later. Requests for the RFQ should be received no later than 20 days after the date of this publication. Requests received after that time will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. No telephone requests for the RFQ willbe honored. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 13.5 -- Test Program for Certain Commercial Items.
