Petrzilka, Contracting Officer, (732) 323-2067 FAX (732) 323-4822 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, New Jersey intends to solicit proposals on a full and open competitive basis for support services to assist in the planning, coordination and execution of a Category 1 Airshow. The Airshow will be presented at NAWC, Lakehurst in May/June 2001. Projected dates are June 2/3. Offerors shall demonstrate the following: has experience with FAA regulations and policies in the Northeast corridor of the United States. Specifically, the coordination of flight operations working in the highly congested air traffic control areas of Washington DC, New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk. Is qualified/experienced in all aspects of airshow planning: hazardous material, traffic and crowd control, vendors, layout, hygiene, quarters, fixed base operations, FOD cleanup, hanger servicing requirements, ground support equipment needs, refueling plans, ramp crew requirements, emergency planning, security, fire protection, medical support, communications, hospitality, special support requirements, media coverage, publicity requirements, and other details of a large scale event of this nature. The statement of work includes that the Concessionaire shall provide concession stands, at least three quality civilian acts, an airboss, announcer and associated equipment; provide a sound system for the crowd; provide crowd line fencing; provide portable toilet facilities including handicapped accessible facilities. A site visit will be conducted at the Naval Air Warfare Center on 10 August 2000, during which a map of the projected site will be provided, as well as a tour of the site. Draft copies of the solicitation will be available at the site visit.
