The scope of the project is to remove two existing building wings (462 square feet), reduce floor area in attic by 520 square feet, rehabilitate 10,375 square feet, add 1,652 square feet for stairs and 1,773 square feet for needed admin area, yielding a station building of +/-13,800 square feet. The Station Building will house the administrative, communications, unaccompanied personnel berthing, dining and recreation functions of the station. The interior of the existing building will be totally demolished except for two fireplaces and chimneys that extend up through the roof. Wings at either side of the building and the rear terrace will be demolished as well. The project has one Additive Bid Item that provides for the removal of existing exterior brick coating system and repaint. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification No. 01-X3540 and Drawing No. 01-X3540 (Sheets 1 _ 142). All work shall be completed within 510 calendar days after Award.
