This office intends to issue an IFB to provide all labor, supplies, equipment, and materials (except where specified as government provided) to remediate soils contaminated with certain chlorinated volatile organic compounds to numerical remediation goals using in-situ treatment. Site requiring remediation is former fire training burn pit located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Work to include sample collection and analysis, reporting, well abandonment, excavation, disposal of hazardous/nonhazardous debris, and in-situ treatment of saturated/unsaturated soil. Approximate area of in-situ treatment is 2015 square feet with maximum depth of 10 feet below existing ground surface. Approximate total volume of in-situ soil/debris to be excavated is 800 cubic yards. Total magnitude for the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A 20% bid bond will be required. This will be a firm fixed price requirements type contract for one year. Required completion will be 480 days from notice to proceed. The procurement is set aside for small businesses; SIC code 1629 applies with a small business size standard of $17 million. Request for IFB must be in writing accompanied by a non-refundable certified check, cashier's check or money order payable to the US Treasury in the amount of $8.00 per package.
