The work includes, but is not limited to, HVAC upgrades, lighting and electrical work, smoke detectors, and other miscellaneous work. Work will be phased so that only one freight elevator will be removed from service at any given time, in conformance with the general schedule included in the construction documents. On site construction activities will not commence until January of 2001. Shop drawings, material procurement, and fabrication may occur prior to January of 2001, and after contract award. The U.S. Postal Service intends to award a contract, subject to approval and funding, to the responsible offer whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous. Minority-owned and Women-owned Business participation is encouraged. Construction cost range: $475,000 to $525,000 Construction completion time will befour hundred twenty-five (425)calendar days from the date of receipt of Notice to Proceed.
