This will be an indefinite quantities contract for the period from date of contract award to September 30, 2001 for the base period with two option periods to perform the routine maintenance activities on the secondary road system on the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, SC. Option Period I will be from October 1, 2001 to September 30, 2002; Option Period II will be from October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003. Work will include blading gravel surfaced roads, spot repair of washed roadbeds, installation of water bars and similar activities using borrow material and crusher-run surfacing. Other activities will include, but not limited to, tree removal, pulling road ditches; spreading seed, fertilizer and mulch; dust abatement (watering) of roads; and equipment rental.
