This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC requires the following Keithley Instruments specific make and model items: Item 1. Semiconductor Characterization System for I-V, C-V, on various semiconductor devices; quantity 1 set; Keithley Instruments model 4200-SCS/F. Item 2. Remote pre-amps option for 4200-SMU extends SMU to 0.1 FA resolution; quantity 2 each; Keithley Instruments model 4200-PA. Item 3. 3-year repair service; quantity 1 each; Keithley Instruments model 4200-3Y-Repair. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-18. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to GSFC is required within 60-90 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by 4:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, August 16, 2000, and may be mailed or faxed to Mary McKaig, NASA/GSFC, Code 215/Bldg. 11/Rm. S215A, Greenbelt, MD 20771, FAX 301/286-1720, and shall include solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL: http://procure.arc.nasa.gov/Acq/Forms/Index.html to submit a quotation. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin. By submission of its offer, the offeror represents that, if it is subject to the reporting requirements of 37 U.S.C. 4212(d) (i.e., the VETS-100 report required by FAR 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era), it has submitted the most recent report required by 37 U.S.C. 4212(d).
