THIS IS AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR A COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINE THAT WAS PUBLISHED ON 6/22/00. The technical specifications are amended to add the allowed humidity: the CMM shall perform within specifications for air humidity varying from 10 to 50% R.H. The rate of change shall not exceed 5% per hour. The solicitation is also amended to include delivery information: 1) The opening into the laboratory is 3.0 meters long and 2.3 meters high. 2) Regarding permissible floor loading in Building 220: a) In the halls, 300 lb/sq. ft. is the allowed load; there are longitudinal and transverse trenches, therefore inch steel plates must be utilized to carry the load; b) In the laboratory, 400 lb/sq. ft. is allowed; the floor support is a slab on grade.
