805/658-5713 Joshua Tree National Monument, Twenty-nine Palms, CA, has
a requirement to salvage existing native flora which lie within a
federal highway project area within the park. To minimize loss to the
native flora in the project area, the vegetation will be salvaged by
the contractor and used for revegetation post construction. This
requirement will include removing the larger Joshua Trees, Mojave
Yuccas and Acacias from the project area. The preferred method of
salvage is boxing, however, other methods will be considered. It is
anticipated the release date will be Tuesday, August 1, 2000. Offors
will be due fourteen (14) calendar days after ACTUAL date of issue.
