This is a notice of intent to issue RFQ EASC 2000-00024 on a sole source basis under statutory authority 41 USC 253 (c)(1), Only one responsible source, to Whale Center of New England, P.O. Box 159, Gloucester, MA 01930. Contractor shall conduct research and analysis of data collected to produce a study of interactions between Humpback whales and sand lance within the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. COntractor shall use echo sounders and behavorial observations to conduct the scientific study and evaluation of the presense of sand lance and their interactions with their main predator, the Humpback whale, within the sanctuary. The data collected will then be analyzed against data collected in previous years, and summarized to produce a final report that can be published and presented.
