The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) intends to award a fixed unit price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract to a small business concern with the capability to perform "Grant Closeout Services". The successful contractor will provide assistance in planning, coordinating, and closing terminated federally funded grants. The services provided under this contract will eliminate the current backlog of terminated grants that must be closed and will insure that backlogs are kept at a minimal level. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded with a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) additional twelve (12) month options. The acquisition is being conducted using commercial item solicitation simplified acquisition procedures.
