Teat, Contracting Officer (202) 307-0954) The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking sources capable of providing water services for a proposed Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) to be located north of the City of Bennettsville, Marlboro County, South Carolina. The facility will include housing to accommodate approximately 1,500 inmates, warehouse space, and other generic institutional elements. The water service shall be available for testing by January 1, 2003. Permanent water service (fire and domestic) will be required. The Contractor shall be capable to provide the proposed FCI with an estimated 109,500,000 gallons of water on an annual basis, with an estimated average daily usage of 300,000 gallons. Water shall be delivered to the point(s) of connection with a pressure range of 75 psi-120 psi at a flow of 1100 gpm. Fire flow must be available for a minimum duration of 90 minutes up to a flow of 2,500 gpm. Contractor shall provide at a minimum 500,000 gallon water storage facilities for the proposed FCI, and shall be be located near or adjacent to the proposed FCI property. The estimates provided are for the contractor's benefit and are not a guarantee of revenue or usage. The actual pressure and flow requirements will be determined in the future, based on the design of the facility, which will be clarified at a later date.
