Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking sources capable of providing sewer
services for a proposed Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) to be
located north of the City of Bennettsville, Marlboro County, South
Carolina. The facility will include housing to accommodate
approximately 1,500 inmates, warehouse space, and other generic
institutional elements. The sewer service shall be available for
testing by January 1, 2003. Permanent sewer service will be required
for use by July 1, 2003. The Contractor shall be capable to provide the
proposed FCI with sewage service to accommodate up to an estimated
98,550,000 gallons of sewage on an annual basis, with an estimated
average daily flow of 270,000 gallons. Any new systems, or improvements
to existing systems, related to providing service to the proposed FCI
shall be designed and constructed to include capacity and equipment
necessary to meet the service characteristics. The estimates provided
are for the contractor's benefit and are not a guarantee of revenue or
usage. The actual flow requirements will be determined in the future,
based on the design of the facility, which will be clarified at a
later date. Contractors capable of providing these services should
