mary.lea@mo.ngb.army.mil. The Missouri Army National Guard is seeking
information about contractors able to provide training for the
emergency responder. The main course objective is to convey a sound
understanding of the basic chemistry of hazardous chemicals. The course
instruction should contain at a minimum the following: Physical and
chemical properties of matter. Atomic structure of matter. Introduction
to the behavior of inorganic and organic chemicals. Hydrocarbon and
organic compounds and their properties. Forms of energy, flammable
liquids, and the combustion process. Fundamental laws of chemistry as
they relate to the behavior of hazardous materials. Researching and
interpretation of chemical data. Types and use of monitoring equipment.
Instructors minimum qualifications should include certification by
National Fire Academy Chemistry Instructor or a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Chemistry. All course material is to be provided by the
contractor. It is expected the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be
