W -- LEASE OF AUDIOVISUAL EQUIPMENT IN KANSAS CITY, MO SOL 777-48-00 DUE 073100 POC Karen Lebo (440)526-3030 X7444 The Cleveland Business Center, Cleveland, Ohio referred to hereinafter Employee Education Center (EES) proposes to enter into a contract for the rental audiovisual equipment and technical support for the VA CFO Business Conference, Westin Crown Center, Kansas City, MO. This is a Request for Quotations, for which it and all incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. The procurement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. The Standard Industrial Classification Code(SIC) is 7359. The Small Business Size Standard for this procurement is $5 Million. This is a combined snyopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. The conference shall be held from August 14, 2000 through August 18, 2000. The location shall be the Westin Crown Center, Kansas City, MO. The conference activities shall take place in the Century Ballroom B (General Session). The contractor setup shall be on Monday, August 14th by 5 pm and be ready for checkout and crew rehearsal (if necessary). The General sessions are four days (Tu-W-Th-F), first day beginning at 800 am Tuesday, August 15th and ending at noon local time, Friday, August 18th, 2000. There are Seven (7) Breakout sessions each on Tuesday, August 15th, Wednesday, August 16th, Thursday, August 17th, and Friday, August 18th and six (6) breakout sessions on Wednesday, July 12th, 2000. The contractor shall be prepared to mount the Video Projector, in the General Session, from the ceiling of the ballroom for front projection. Artwork for production of the custom VA gobo's will be provided by email within one (1) working day, after contract is awarded. The contractor shall set up, maintain, and strike all audio-visual equipment requested for the conference, and shall meet all deadlines for set-up andstriking of audiovisual equipment in the general sessions as well as the breakout sessions during the conference. The contractor shall provide a technician for all the general sessions and breakouts to handle the room audio, and a technician to handle the video lighting and the audio in the general session. The Contractor shall provide a project manager to interface with the EES Media Development Manager, the EES Conference Planner, and the EES A-V Specialist. The contractor will be prepared to connect VA Faculty and/or other Government provided laptop computers to any and all projection systems requested in this solicitation.
